UKAS Accredited Calibration Laboratory

The calibration laboratory of Rotronic Instruments UK Limited is UKAS accredited for the measurement of humidity, temperature and dew point. We are proud to advise that our measurement uncertainties are the lowest of possibly any commercial laboratory in northern Europe.

Rotronic humidity sensors can be adjusted if found to be necessary to meet customer defined tolerances. Our calibration service offers competitive pricing and a typical turnaround time of 72 hours for a three point relative humidity calibration. Please contact us for further details.

Services we offer include:

Calibration of relative humidity measuring instruments using unsaturated salt solutions at  5 %rh, 10 %rh, 11 %rh, 20 %rh, 35 %rh, 50 %rh, 60 %rh, 65 %rh, 75 %rh, 80 %rh & 95 %rh over a range 23 °C ±2 °C.

Calibration of dew point measuring instruments over the range -60 °C dew point to +95 °C dew point.

Calibration of relative humidity measuring instruments by comparison with a chilled mirror hygrometer and platinum resistance thermometers in the range 0 °C to 95 °C;  2 %rh to 98 %rh.

Temperature calibration of probes in air -60 °C to 150 °C.

Temperature calibration of probes in liquid -70 °C to 200 °C.

Calibration Devices

These are small, metal airtight containers which fit exactly onto the respective sensor and form an airtight enclosure around the sensor. The lower screw-on part is then filled with the humidity standard solution onto a textile pad. The desired humidity value is reached following a settling period of typically 60 minutes at a constant temperature. The equipment can then be adjusted to match the reference humidity value. We offer suitable devices for every ROTRONIC sensor and can also construct an appropriate calibration device for your humidity measurement equipment.
